The Indiana Rural Health Association is offering free assistance enrolling rural residents in insurance.

The program, will be held at the Switzerland County Nurse Managed Clinic, which is located next to the Switzerland County Health Department in the Medical Building located at 727 Highway 56 on the west end of Vevay.

The free assistance in enrolling in the program, including HIP and Medicaid, will be held tomorrow (Friday, February 13th) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Those wanting help in enrolling should bring the Social Security number for each family member who will be covered; and the expected income for the household in 2015.

Individuals without health insurance for 2015 are subject to tax penalties; and many applicants qualify for government subsidies to help pay for the insurance.
