Forecast for ‘Music in the Park’ Sunday in Patriot: ‘F.O.G.’

The weatherman might predict sunshine and cloudless skies for the third “Music in the Park” series in Patriot on June 13th, but attendees will be looking forward to “F.O.G”.

The band - which is made up of members Sonny Dickerson, Steve Johns, Roger Thayer, and Gary Henry – has been performing together for nearly 15 years. The four friends formed the group citing a love of music and a mutual respect for people who enjoy listening to 60’s, 70’s and 80’s rock.

When it comes to a musical longevity connection, members Steve Johns and Sonny Dickerson have been teaming up for nearly 35 years; while Roger Thayer and Gary Henry are not far behind.

“F.O.G.”, which is an acronym for “Four Old Guys”, recently limited its schedule to a couple appearances a month and look forward to being part of the “Music in the Park” series.

Sponsored by the Patriot/Posey Parks and Recreation Board and the Patriot Town Council, Music in the Park is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to bring their lawn chairs to enjoy a day of relaxing entertainment and a tour of historic Patriot located along the scenic Ohio River. Cool drinks and food will be available for sale. No alcohol please.
