The Florence Church of Christ will have their picnic this Saturday, September 22nd, at the church yard. Food will be provided by the church. Ladies bring desserts. It will start at 4 p.m. and they will begin eating at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
The 9/11 Remembrance at the Florence Church was well attended on 09/11 and was interesting.
Denny and Mary Lou Bowman and Glenda Sullivan took Patty Chase to see Dr. Jordan in Louisville on Monday for a good check up and she doesn’t have to go back for 2 months if all goes well. They had a good lunch at Cracker Barrel as usual.
Bob and June Rice came in from California a few weeks ago for a nice visit. Reta Gray, Pat Slack and Bob and June visited Gerald and Sherry Courtney in Bear Branch Monday. The next day they had business in Vevay and had lunch at Roxano’s with Tracy Gray, Lane Penick and Ethan Curlin. June visited Gladys Lucas at the same time Peggy Furnish and Janice Ramsey was there for a nice visit on Wednesday. June and Bob, Reta and Evan Gray, Pat Slack, Kay Hyde, and Sondra Hyde went antiquing at Rivercrest Lighthouse in Madison and had a good lunch there. Thursday they visited with Marilyn Armstrong to look at her house and looked at other houses in the area. They had a great visit and returned to California on Friday. They want to thank everyone for their prayers for their son Terry Lynn. He had 23 days of radiation treatments. He is working every day. Keep up the good work Terry.
Margaret Lee Weidmann’s company was Cheryl Messmore. She went home Tuesday after a few days visit. Bobby Brown visited with mom, Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown for a week. Other company was Betty Hargrove, Kay O’Neal, Kathleen Bolton and Melody Reese.
I haven’t heard from Kay Cook but I hope she did okay with her should surgery in Indianapolis Prayers for Kay, Loretta Westrick, Liz Little, Jackie Hill, Joe Johnson and all in need.
