Don’t forget the Butch Konkle and friends walk to raise money for the Jeannie and Butch Konkle Fund. The cancer fund is with the Community Foundation of Switzerland County. To be donated to the “Keeping the Pace Fund” to help Switzerland County residents. It will be Saturday August 12th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Butch’s Route 56 Campground. Sounds like a good time for a good cause.

The birthday celebration for the town of Florence is going well. I’m still hearing from people that have moved away and may have stories or pictures to send us. We plan to use the Florence Fire House and put things on display.

Patty and Phillip Haley from Greenbrier, Tennessee are visiting family and friends. They were having breakfast with Harriet Bovard, Alice Faye Whitham and Margie Edwards on Saturday morning in Vevay and got to visit with more friends.

Lexie Rininger spent a few days with the Rininger and Pickett family and other family and friends. Casey, Sheila and Tiffany Rininger took her home Sunday afternoon. Lacey Rininger is visiting the Frank Rininger family near Lamb.

The Florence Church of Christ had a really good fifth Sunday pitch in dinner with a good attendance.

Justin, Tammy and Phillip Lane visited and enjoyed the dinner.

Tracy Seale of North Vernon is in Kings Daughters Hospital. Her mom and dad, Richard and Janet Sullivan, her husband Clayton and son Devin, Cindy Geis and Sondra Hyde, visited her at KDH.
