The Town of Florence was all aglow Saturday night with the beautiful lawn wedding ceremony of Pamela Ferguson and Marvin May at their home at 6915 5th Street in Florence, Indiana. Many family and friends and neighbors attended and enjoyed the wedding and outside reception. They had lots of good food and refreshments. Marvin and Pam want to thank all who came and shared in their special day.

Audrey Marsh, Margaret Lee Weidmann, Sharon Wilson, Angie Handlon, Randy and Lorraine Brown, Charlie Harmon and friend Judy Ballenger, Jackie Hill and Jana Sweeney all enjoyed their visits with Denny and Diana Brown last week. Thanks to “Mom” Margaret Lee for staying with Denny while Diana went to town to get groceries for the week. Before Jackie and Jana left all present held hands while Jackie prayed a lovely and sincere prayer. After the prayer Jackie quoted a passage from Isaiah. What a wonderful way to end a wonderful day.

Faye Lewis, Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase went to East Enterprise for lunch Thursday and also enjoyed visiting with Ruth Lohide and then going on to enjoy a visit with Patty Works. Patty gave them a lovely item that was 106 years old to put on display at the Vevay High School Alumni meeting. Hope you are planning to come to the Alumni and will get to see the item. Faye really enjoyed the ride and visits and the stop at the Amish Store in Center Square. Corinne Martin and Faye, Glenda and Patty went to Madison for Faye’s doctor appointment Monday and met Peggy Sullivan at Frisch’s for lunch and to celebrate Corinne’s birthday. Glenda and Patty visited Loretta Westrick near Carrollton Wednesday.

Ed Trinkle of Virginia called Patty Chase to say Jack Trinkle will have open heart surgery this week. Jack and his wife live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Keep them in your prayers. Their older brother Randall Trinkle passed away just a few weeks ago.

Ed and girl friend Katie had planned to come to Vevay for the Swiss Wine Festival and the Vevay High School Alumni and visit friends but will go be with Jack. We will miss them.

Patty also got a nice call from Delores “Penny” Robinson of Harrison, Ohio. Her husband Junior is having serious heart problems. They are going to try to come to the Swiss Wine Festival to visit with family that is coming from Florida. Keep them in your prayers. Fleeta Bell Smith also called from Versailles to ask about our new store. It’s always good to hear from her for any reason.

Patty visited with Margaret Ann Rowlett at the Switzerland County Welcome Center Saturday and they visited with Tom and Melissa Skirvin. They are still visiting their home here but will be returning to Tennessee soon. Melissa is recovering very well from a knee replacement. They said their family is all okay.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Charles and Alberta Pickett, Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan enjoyed dinner at Los Compadres Friday. Saturday they joined Dale and Danilee Thompson, Casey, Sheila, Tiffany, Lacy and Lilly Rininger for breakfast at Granny’s. Saturday night Roy, Bonnie, Charles, Alberta, Glenda and Patty had a good supper at Roxano’s and later had ice cream at Shell’s. Sunday Judy Lozier, Ken and Sylvia Byars, Gary, Karen and David Wentworth, Glenda Sullivan, Patty Chase, Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Charles and Alberta Pickett and Corinne enjoyed lunch at KFC and celebrated Corinne’s birthday again. We missed A.J.’s and Java Bean so we’ll get them this week and anyone else in the area we missed.

Margaret Lee Weidmann’s company was Betty Hargrove, Kay O’Neal, Kevin Scudder, Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown. Margaret Lee and Lorraine went shopping at the Mall Thursday and had lunch, then visited with Cheryl Messmore. Friday Margaret Lee, Randy and Lorraine had supper at the American Legion and joined in the Troy Stafford birthday celebration.

Janet and Evan Brown spent the week of August 6th in Lexington, Kentucky with Linda Brown. Ashley Parker visited on Monday and Thursday on her dinner break from Channel 18. Sharon and Kristen Parker visited Tuesday evening. Kristin headed back to the University of Tennessee on Wednesday to begin her junior year. Wednesday afternoon the Browns toured the Toyota factory in Georgetown. They highly recommended it to everyone. Not only was it educational it was a lot of fun. Wednesday evening the Browns, Ashley Parker and Kyle Mitchell enjoyed dinner at Rafferty’s and later took a tour of Ashley’s new home.

Janet and Evan want to thank Linda for such an enjoyable week.

Casey, Sheila and Tiffany Rininger and Kevin Wiley went to the Cincinnati ball game Sunday.

Casey Michael Rininger and friend Pam and Frankie Rininger and friend Angie went to King’s Island Saturday.

Rita Brogan took Andrea Brogan to NKU. Andrea will be staying in the dorm this year. Good luck, Andrea. Ariel Brogan visited grandparents Jim and Rita Brogan and other family in Florence and came to the Florence Church of Christ Sunday.

Get well prayers go out for Paul Ballard, Betty Shannon, Joan Scott, Denny Brown, Andrea Brogan, Loretta Hite, Lowell Devers, Ray Sandlin, Maxine Ravenscraft, Mary Lou Hehe Furnish, Jack Trinkle, Mike McClure, Don Voris, Trish Lyons and all in need.

Sympathy to Carl and Betty Hargrove for the loss of Carl’s daughter, Cindy Branson of Needham near Shelbyville.
