Brenda Peelman and Jacey visited Patty Chase on Friday. Jacey was on crutches due to minor surgery on her foot. Brenda also had a little surgery on her thumb. Get well to them. Glenda Sullivan and Denny Bowman have also been visiting Patty and helping while she is hobbling around. She is still under doctors care and has more appointments, one in Louisville. Maybe they can find the problem.
Casey, Sheila and Tiffany Rininger, Frank and Megan Rininger all went to Alabama due to the death of Casey’s mom; Marge Zimmerman. A memorial service may be held at a later date. Sympathy to the family.
Roy and Bonnie Duckworth spent last week at the Hillsboro Ohio Family Christian Camp. On their way home they visited Marc and Tehya in Kentucky as they were getting ready for granddaughter Dorothy Rose’s wedding on Sunday July 29th. Randy, Michelle, Kiersten and Kaden McClure also spent the week there. Kaden McClure was baptized on Thursday.
Get well prayers for Jackie Waltz, Freda Walker, Shirley White, Lori Wadsworth, Lou, Amy Walcott and also Mike Poling has had surgery in Louisville, prayers for all. Mary Ruth called to tell me about Mike in Louisville. We had a nice long visit by phone.
Dale and Danilee Thompson from North Vernon visited their home in Florence on the weekend and come to church on Sunday. Dale had got a good doctors report that they found no cancer after his five year exam. Wonderful news Dale.
The William G. And Mary Wiley family reunion was held at Butler Park in Carrollton, Kentucky on June 24th. Many family members enjoyed the beautiful weather, the delicious food and the joy of each others company. Those who attended were; Linda and Janet Brown, Tim and Terri Heath, Gene and Alice Heath, Snookie and Dottie Wiley, Taylor Truesdell, Kenneth, Stacy and Kenneth Jr. Truesdell, Charles and Alberta Pickett, Steven Fields, Kevin Wiley, Roseann Spalding, Jerry and Linda Webb and Family and Sharon and Terry Parker. They plan to meet the same time next year.
The Florence Church of Christ missed their fifth Sunday dinner due to Dorothy and Cooper Howard’s wedding. We will have that this Sunday. Everyone is welcome.
Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan ran into Bob and June Cole Rice taking their family to get hair cuts in Vevay. They were going back to California in a couple of days after a nice visit here. Patty also had a nice visit with Betty Chase while shopping in Aurora. Betty said Darrell is in the nursing home for awhile due to an injury. Get well to Darrell.
Margaret Lee Weidmann’s company was Kay O’Neal, Allen Devore and friend Mindy, also Kathleen, Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown, Bobby Brown from Illinois and his daughter Jamiel and three boys from Cleveland, Ohio. They are staying a few days with Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown and visiting Margaret Lee and other friends and relatives. Margaret Lee is sorry she missed Peggy Catanzaro’s visit but thanks her for leaving the delicious peaches.
Dorothy Duckworth and Cooper Howard were married Sunday July 29th in a beautiful wedding at the Madison Event Center in Covington, Kentucky. Parents Marc and Tehya Duckworth and Maggie, the Howard family, Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Randy, Michelle, Kiersten and Kaden McClure, Melissa Duckworth, Robert Jackson, Judy Lozier and many more attended. John Duckworth was a very handsome usher and 2 year old Maggie was the beautiful flower girl. After the reception the happy couple drove to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for the honeymoon. Congratulations.
