Happy anniversary to Pete and Carolyn Scott Lowe, 62 years! Wow, Congratulations! Pete has had some health issues and is improving. Get well prayers for Pete. Get well also to Gary Wentworth, as he is scheduled for out-patient surgery this week.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth and Verle Truitt visited Genevieve Truitt at the Waters of Dillsboro. She was feeling good Sunday. Get well prayers also for Paul James.

I have been hearing about the ‘pretty naked ladies’ on Markland Pike. I hope they are talking about the flowers.

Happy birthday Brooklyn and Kyleigh Fugate.

Leona Adams and Margaret Baker went shopping and had lunch out one day.

Richard and Leona Adams attended a farewell party for Mark and Suzi Deacon.

The East Enterprise Fire Department will have its chicken dinner this Sunday, August 14th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the East Enterprise station. Ladies bring desserts and we need items for the Chinese auction.

Olive Branch Baptist Church will have its Chicken Dinner on Saturday August 13th.

The Vevay High School Alumni meeting will be Saturday August 27th right after the Wine Festival Parade at the Switzerland County High School cafeteria.

Richard and Janet Sullivan of Westport attended the Whitham reunion at the Markland Park Sunday, then visited Marjorie Whitham at Swiss Villa. Then they went to Madison to visit their daughter, Tracy Seale, at the Waters. She is improving. Then they went on to Louisville to visit their other daughter, Dana Einhaus, at the Jewish Hospital. She is recovering after surgery at Columbus, Indiana and more surgery at Jewish. Keep them in your prayers. They had a busy day and called Glenda about 10 p.m. to tell her how everyone was.

Charles and Alberta Pickett, Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Dale and Danilee Thompson, Judy Lozier, Mike Johnson, Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan had a good supper and visit Friday evening.

Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase had a really good lunch at Cook’s Kitchen in Patriot. Fred and Sondra Stave and Kay Cook came in and joined them and they had a lovely visit. Patty and Glenda went to Madison for Patty’s doctor appointment Wednesday and later met Peggy Sullivan for lunch at Bob Evans. Glenda visited her niece Tracy Seale at the Waters while Patty was at the doctors appointment. Tracy is improving. Glenda’s other niece Dana Einhaus had surgery at Columbus Indiana and was moved to Louisville Jewish for more surgery and is now improving. Get well prayed for them.

Get well prayers for Diana “Jody” Winslow of Rising Sun. She had surgery and is recovering well.
