The American Cancer Society Relay for Life will be Friday night, June 27th all night at Ogle Park. The opening ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. There will be an auction and then the lighting of the candles about dark. We will have food, walking tacos, homemade ice cream, and more. Come join us and walk with your favorite team.

The prayer list includes Linda Jewell Jones at Swiss Villa for therapy, Larry Boggs at Kentuckiana Hospital with a possible heart problem, Bill Olds with a possible heart problem, Debbie Gregory, outpatient surgery at King’s Daughters’ Hospital, Earl Conner home from Cincinnati VA Hospital, Gene and Alice Wiley Heath both having chemotherapy trreatments, Phyllis Thomas at Swiss Villa, Also Hazel Wilkerson, Chris Sieglitz, Chuck Schmidt, Kelli Clements and others.

Earl Wayne Furnish’s wife, Wanda, passed away. Really sorry to hear that. She was a lovely lady and will be missed. Sympathy to the family.

My neighbor, T.J. Stitzel, was out mowing the yard this evening. He just got back from Big Stuf and said he had a wonderful time. Orelia, his mom,. said he is all wound up and telling lots of stories.

Lake Rayls, Lou Wadsworth and Patty Chase went to Scottsburg Saturday to meet their new Mary Kay director, Bonnie Crumrin, from Terre Haute. They met other Mary Kay girls and had a good time at the Ponderosa meeting room.

Jacob Hunt spent several days with Burnie and Gladys Hunt. Ryan Hart also visited one day.

Robin Lawson, Carolyn Hysell, Bonnie and Roy Duckworth, Ron and Jean Sandidge, Gertrude Voris, Evelyn Smith and Glenda Sullivan all visited Faye Lewis at Switzer Square last week.

Denny and Mary Lou Bowman took their granddaughter Rylli Heffelfinger out shopping and for dinner for her 10th birthday last week.

Grandma Debbie Wilhoite took Riley Smith to a birthday party for Peggy Scudder’s granddaughter Saturday.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Ken and Sylvia Byars, Gary, Karen and David Wentworth, Charles and Alberta Pickett, Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase went to 88 King Buffet in Madison to celebrate Karen Wentworth’s birthday. They also had a nice visit with Randy Thieman’s family, Linda and Ethan, Austin and other friends.

Bobby Brown and wife Diane of Illinois visited Margaret Lee Weidmann and Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown from Tuesday to Friday to help Randy celebrate his birthday. They had a birthday supper at Mo’s Wednesday evening. They took Randy to Sunset Grill Thursday and all celebrated again. Happy birthday, Randy. Kay O’Neal and Regina Turner visited Margaret Lee. Cheryl Messmore met Jason Messmore at Olive Garden for a great visit. Margaret Lee enjoys her calls from Paul Messmore but thinks he should get down here more often.
