We have had plenty of rain. The Log Lick Creek flooded and almost washed Ronda Norfleet’s car away. She is still cleaning the mud out of it but she said it will be okay.

The American Cancer Society will not be doing the relay in Switzerland County. I don’t know why. The “Keeping Pace Cancer Fund” has been set up by local citizens to be used for Switzerland County needs. The ‘Florence and Friends’ team from the relay had money collected for the relay. They met with Pam Acton who is working with the “Keeping Pace Cancer Fund” and donated that money. It was $307 for the new fund. ‘Florence and Friends’ may still keep collecting and donating to them for Switzerland County use. This team was active in all the relays with good donations.

The town of Florence hopes to have a celebration for their 200th birthday. I have been getting offers to help and with stories of long ago. We will plan a meeting soon if you would like to help.
