The Koons and Hunt families had a big breakfast bash at the home of Dennis Hunt on Florence Hill Road May 16th and they may be already planning another one. Richard and Brenda Koons, Betty Hunt, Tammy Barringer, David Hunt, Dusty and Misty Hunt, Mary Stogsdill, Julie Knippenberg, Jen Coy and Kaitlyn and Tylor, Roberta Young, Kelly, Tina and Paige Cunningham, Bernie and Gladys Hunt, Wayne and Kathy Hunt and Mark Fluegeman all enjoyed the breakfast. One source told me Dennis did most of the cooking and it was really good. They all had a great time.

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life meeting was well attended last Tuesday night. We still need more teams. The Relay will be June 27th from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the Ogle Park. More details will follow. Call me if you are interested and I can direct you to a team or you can bring a team.

Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase used to be Hardly McKenzie’s good cheese salad customers as he made extra one day and shared with them. Thanks, Hardly. It was really good, as usual. Patty had a good visit with Linda Harrell while shopping in Madison. Glenda and Patty had a good visit with Betty Peters Drew while shopping.

Congratulations to Gladys and Bernie Hunt for being married 66 years. Happy anniversary.

Bonnie and Roy Duckworth visited Bonnie’s mom Genevieve Truitt at the nursing home in Dillsboro Sunday. Her dad Verle and others were there too. Roy visited with Tonya Moore while there. She is improving slowly after a stroke.

Glenda’s niece Tracy Seale has been moved to the Columbus hospital from Indianapolis. She has been improving after blood clot surgery and has a long way to go with more therapy.

Sylvia Byars flew to Alaska for her granddaughter’s graduation. They had a wonderful time sightseeing and being together on Mother’s Day. Then Sylvia flew on to California to visit another daughter and for another wonderful time.

Dale and Danilee Thompson went to Kansas City, Kansas for the graduation of a niece. They had a great time.

Faye Lewis is still celebrating her birthday. She’s still getting cards, calls and company. Mark and Rhonda Scott, Glenda Sullivan, Gertrude Voris, Evelyn Smith and Jean Sandidge all visited her.

Happy birthday to Tiffany Rininger.

Sympathy to the family of Donna Witt and the family of Vivian Chase. It was nice to visit with the Chase family at Vivian’s visitation. She was a good person and a good friend. She will be missed.
