While I was in Patriot on Saturday I stopped in the grocery store and was glad to see they have a good selection of groceries and everything was so clean.

Leona Adams told me Paul James and Gordy Stutzman have supper with her and Richard every Sunday evening, but they are going on a trip so Paul and Gordy are looking for a place to have supper for the next two Sundays. Paul will be staying at their house while they are gone. Leona also said she helped with the dinner at Patriot for Jay Benzing and there was really a lot of people attending. The ladies of the Concord Church and others helped too. I’m sure Wanda wants to thank everyone.

Our get well prayer list includes Dale Thompson, Jonas Keith, Lulu Belle Thomas, Doreen Taylor, Kenny Clements, and all in need. Alicia Fritter is recovering well from leg surgery.

Bobby and Diane Brown of Illinois spent last week with mom Margaret Lee Weidmann to help Randy and Ryan Brown take care of Lorraine due to her outpatient leg surgery. They also helped Margaret Lee with the chores that Lorraine usually done for her. Lorraine will have therapy on her leg. Get well prayers for her. Margaret Lee’s other company was Kay O’Neal, Paul and Jason Messmore, Kevin Scudder and Randy and Ryan.

Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase visited with Lou Cutter and Lana Kelly at Lou’s beauty shop in Fairview on Friday. Lana will be working there as well as in Vevay. Joy Briggs was also there for a nice visit.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Charles and Alberta Pickett, Ken and Sylvia Byars, Gary and Karen Wentworth, David Wentworth, Don Smith, Patty Chase, Judy Lozier, Nancy Johnson and Glenda Sullivan all met at the 88 King Buffet in Madison Sunday to celebrate Roy Duckworth’s birthday.

Judy Lozier visited LeAnn Lozier in Lexington, Kentucky. They went swimming and ate out.

Richard and Janet Sullivan, Squeaky and Jeanette Knaus and Glenda Sullivan visited Tracy Seale Sunday afternoon at the Waters of Clifty Falls of Madison.

Dale and Danilee Thompson spent the weekend at their home in Florence. They attended church at the Florence Church of Christ before returning to their home in North Vernon.

Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase went to the visitation for Tim Heine at Rising Sun Sunday. Sympathy to Brenda and all the family.

Sympathy also to the family of Joy Benzing of Patriot. Wanda is a dear friend. Sympathy also to Mark and Rhonda Scott for the loss of Rhonda’s brother from the Charlestown area.
