The indoor yard sale went very well at Florence and East Enterprise. Beverly Stoops worked very hard at Florence with Patty Chase helping. Bev did all the heavy work. Jackie White and his wife from Ohio and Donnie White and wife from Pleasant came in. They told us stories of when they lived in Florence as kids. It was interesting (and several years ago). Several others stopped in just to make a donation to the fire department or to shop the yard sale. It was a good day. Ron Brunner and Tammy (don’t know last name) had a good day at the East Enterprise Station. Jeff-Craig and Posey fire departments also had good days. Thanks to all who support the fire departments.
Carolyn Moore, Dylan and Carly and Tess Stoops had a Mother’s Day supper with mom Beverly Stoops at Beverly’s home Saturday evening. They enjoyed the visit and helped plant her trees.
Linda Mae Jones, P.J. Jones and Annie and the kids visited Bud and Betty Hargrove Sunday and went to the Mother’s Day dinner at Belterra. Betty called her sister Peggy Stoll to wish her a happy Mother’s Day.
Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase spent last Thursday with Loretta Westrick near Milton, Kentucky. They took McDonald’s snacks and enjoyed lunch.
Denny Bowman visited Patty Chase Wednesday on his way home from work and helped her with some chores.
Juanita Baer called to say grandson Joe Baer is now captain on the Mississippi Queen and might be through this area in July. Juanita is having heart issues and needs our prayers.
I met a lovely lady near the Vevay IGA. She helped me get my groceries into my car. I think her name was Belinda Clark from the Long Run area. Thank you, Belinda.
Mary Lou Bowman, Jeanie and Roger Woodfill, Malcolm Markland and Pam Acton went to Indianapolis April 25th to meet with Mick and Cathy Markland, Michael and Brandon Markland, Jean Ann and Barbara Pruett and other friends and relatives to celebrate Mick’s birthday at Mick and Cathy’s beautiful home. They had good food and Cathy made cupcakes instead of cutting a big cake. Good idea. Happy 65th, Mick.
