I met Jane Jacobs several times in my association with the Vevay paper. She was a lovely lady and she will be missed. Sympathy to the friends and family.

Dale and Danilee Thompson spent the weekend at their home in Florence and attended the pancake breakfast at the Vevay Firehouse Sunday.

The East Enterprise Volunteer Fire Department will have an indoor yard sale May 9th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can rent table space for $10 for a 10’x10′ space and rent a table for $5. A concession stand will be available. Call Beverly at 812-534-2080 to reserve a spot by May 7th. Proceeds to benefit East Enterprise Volunteer Fire Department.

Richard and Janet Sullivan of Westport and their friends and family have been traveling to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis to be with their daughter Tracy Seale. She had surgery for a blood clot on the brain and has not come all the way to yet. She is responding to their questions by moving a toe or foot. Keep them in your prayers.

Bina and Mukesh Patel of the Fairway Inn have just returned from a wonderful trip to their home in India.

Faye Lewis’ company was Mark Scott, Kandy Powers, Alice Faye Whitham, Jean Sandidge, Evelyn Smith, Gertrude Voris and Glenda Sullivan.

Cheryl Messmore had supper with Kylee and Niko Ferrier, Lisa, Shawn, Garran, Taylor and A.J. Messmore in Bright.
