The East Enterprise Fire Department ham and bean dinner will be Saturday, March 14th, at the Enterprise Station. Come support your fire department and enjoy the food, friends and Chinese auction. Ladies, bring desserts, please.

The Red Hot Hatters meeting will be Monday, March 16th, at the Vevay American Legion meeting room at 11:30 a.m. Bring a gift for the drawing and bring a friend. We will be honoring Toni Kniola’s birthday by planning fundraisers for the Toni Kniola Fund.

We had a nice visit with Sue Westrick in Carrollton Saturday. She said the Carrollton Red Hat Ladies meeting was canceled due to the weather but they will let us know when the next one is. We also had a nice visit with Roger and Bev Parrott while having breakfast Saturday. That’s what we do best, eat out and visit friends.

I had a nice visit by phone with Juanita Baer for her birthday February 27th. She said her daughter’s boat was destroyed in an ice jam on the river where ever their camp is, in Tennessee, I think.

When I asked people for news this week they all answered with “I’m just tired of this snow.” Me too.

The Shoe Factory Reunion will be April 11th at the Jack Sullivan Senior Citizen Center. Mark your calendar and tell your friends. We need help getting the word out to former employees and families.

Happy birthday to Brittany Lock at Lafayette, Vera McSwain in Indianapolis, Sherry Rowlett, Larry Turner, Duane Scudder, Freda Skaggs, Kaden McClure, Lee An Lozier, Ena Jewell and others.

Mary Evelyn Pohlman, Gertrude Voris, Evelyn Smith, Jean Sandidge and Glenda Sullivan all visited with Faye Lewis last week.

The Florence Flowers Home Extension Club plan to entertain the East Enterprise Club with a St. Patrick’s dinner March 16th at their regular meeting.

Bill and Mary Linna Jewell, Jim and Mary Simmons, Thelma Seel, Della Swincher, Glenda Sullivan, Steve and Ena Jewell and Brianna all met at A.J.’s Diner for lunch and celebrated Ena’s birthday Sunday.

Hello to Lura Mae Smith of Fishers. Her daughter, Carol Whitlock, has pneumonia and bronchitis. Get well prayers for her. Also, Pete Lowe spent a day at King’s Daughters’ Hospital for tests. Verle Truitt will be having eye surgery this week. Jim Brogan will be having knee surgery and Joe Johnson will have a heart procedure soon. Also, remember Alberta Pickett, Kevin Kelly, Bing and Mary Katherine Dickerson, Linda Mae Jones, Dinks Davis, Butch Scott, Bill Wiseman, Theresa Crabtree, Helen Parks, Sharon Schmitt, Margie Ford, Dave Gurley and all in need.

Sorry to hear Cora Fox’s dad passed away in Michigan. Sympathy to the family. Also to the Joe Sebree family, the Julia Webber family, the Brenda McDole family and others I don’t know about.
