Florence News 2-26-15


The Very “Sweetie” Massage Day benefit was held at the lovely home of Mark and Julie Perkins in Vevay February 7th. Mark and Julie had the benefit for the Antoinette “Toni” Kniola Red HOT Hatters Memorial Fund. A large crowd attended and a very generous donation was collected. John Kniola attended and was very impressed with the outcome. Toni was a very active Red HOT Hatter. Thank you, Mark and Julie, and all who attended.

This weather is terrible. I hope we are about past the worse part. The Florence Church of Christ did have a Sunday morning service. A few showed up and some who couldn’t get to their own church were welcomed too.

The Swiss Idol auditions at the Hoosier Theater were canceled Friday and will be held March 7th.

Get well prayers and concerns go out for Bill Wiseman, Linda Mae Jones, Sharon Ballard, Cheryl Hussong, Joe Johnson, and others.

Denny and Mary Lou Bowman spent the weekend in Batesville with the grandchildren while Chris and Laura Bowman went to their church retreat. Denny said they had a good time babysitting and were snowed in part of the time.

Rod Chase cleaned my driveway. Thanks Rod. Eddie Gregory has been helping me in and out too. Good neighbors are wonderful.

I had a nice visit with Rosie at the Lost Treasure Store in Vevay. They really have a lot of treasures. It took me quite a while to look at them.

Margaret Lee Weidmann said Randy and Lorraine Brown and Kay O’Neal took good care of her last week.

Neal, Jill and Jade Smith visited Eddie and Debbie Gregory Sunday evening. Jillian, Dakota and Zachary also stopped in.
