Charles and Alberta Pickett, Glenda Sullivan, Patty Chase, Bonnie and Roy Duckworth, Gary, Karen and David Wentworth, Don Smith, Sylvia and Ken Byars, Brenda Peelman, Peggy Sullivan and Jacey Peelman all met at the Ponderosa in Madison to celebrate Charles and Peggy's birthday. Someone asked Charles if he got the senior discount and veterans discount, but Alberta said he is not a veteran and Charles said to her "the war is not over yet." The Ponderosa staff and the group sang happy birthday to "Chuckie and Peggy." Judy Lozier joined Charles and Alberta Pickett, Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan for breakfast Saturday to celebrate Charles's birthday.

Beverly Davis came to church at Florence Sunday with Carolyn Lowe and they had lunch with Janet Brown at Warsaw Dairy Queen and said their fish was really good.

Patty Chase had a nice long visit by telephone with Mary Jewell Simmons of Lamb on Sunday.

Betty Hargrove’s sister Peggy Leap Carrico Stoll passed away last week at her home in Loogootee, Indiana. She will have services at Montgomery, Indiana. Peggy was a good friend and went to school in the Vevay class of 1954. She leaves her husband and her three children: Connie Carrico Miller and Ricky and Jimmy Carrico. We send our sympathy to the family. She will be missed.

Myra Jo and Larry Spoores brought Betty and family a meal and Cleo and Albert Detmer brought them wind chimes as a memorial for Peggy from that family. Debbie and Gerald Barnes also visited them and Jason Jones spent some time with Bud and Grandma Hargrove. Also, Linda Jones, PJ Jones and Annie and the kids and Jerry Jewell and Robin. Charles and Alberta Pickett and Casey, Sheila and Tiffany Rininger spent part of the weekend with the Frank Rininger family near Green Valley. They had cake and ice cream for Charles’s birthday.

Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown, Kay O’Neal and Joe Johnson visited Margaret Lee Weidmann last week. Joe and Kay got there about the same time and Margaret Lee said that was really a treat talking over old times.

The Shoe Factory reunion is being planned again for the second Saturday in April we hope. Nathan and Donna Hughes will be in charge again. Plan on being there and tell everyone. I’ll have the date in the next week’s paper.
