These first four items were in last week’s paper but they got their bottoms cut off and it changed the meaning. I just wanted to correct them.

Jean and Tracy Adkins from Versailles visited Tommy Adkins in Vevay and went to Warsaw to have lunch at Jewell’s. We were there too and had a nice visit.

Wednesday evening Alberta Pickett, Tiffany Rininger, Corinne Martin, Rita Brogan, Patty Chase, Karen Wentworth, Glenda Sullivan, Sylvia Byars, Ken Byars, Marc Duckworth and Roy Duckworth all helped Bonnie Duckworth celebrate her birthday again and her hip replacement recovery.

I liked my Christmas wreath so much that I left it up on the porch and now it’s my valentine wreath. Neighbor Debbie Gregory left her pretty lights up too.

Joe Johnson took a fast trip to Cincinnati hospital Saturday night in a helicopter. He had heart stents put in and will be having more surgery later. Prayers for Joe.

Our get well prayer list is getting longer: Louis Peelman, Dave Gurley, Linda Mae Jones, Bob Slack, Sharon Ballard, Charlie Seymour, Dinks Davis, Joe Johnson, Sharon Deck, Bing Dickerson, Karen Nickell, Verle Truitt, Lester Moore’s brother Paul Moore, Butch Scott, Kirk Works, Mary Katherine Dickerson, Bill Wiseman, Bonnie Duckworth, Jerry Chase, Mary Lou Furnish, Virginia Garvey, Rachael Ard and many others.

Dale and Danilee Thompson of North Vernon, Patty Chase, and Roy and Bonnie Duckworth had supper in Vevay Friday night.

Charles Pickett, Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Denny and Mary Lou Bowman, Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan enjoyed a Valentine Day breakfast in Vevay.

Ed Trinkle called from Virginia again to ask about his friends and to say hi to all and to compare our weather.

Faye Lewis’ company was Robin Lawson, Gertrude Voris, Evelyn Smith, Jean Sandidge and Glenda Sullivan. Faye says hello to Edith “Beadie” Gibbs as she always reads the Vevay paper.

Ruth Lohide, Maxine Meisberger, Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan met at Shell’s one evening for a good visit and snack.

The Switzerland County Red Hat Hatter met last Monday at A.J.’s Diner in Vevay for a really good meal and get together. They plan to meet again Monday, March 16th, at the American Legion meeting room for a catered meal. Attending Monday was Kay Cook, Jan Bixler, Charlene Goff, Dottie Keeton, Rose Leap, Patty Chase, Laura Riga and Melinda Green. Melody Stepleton stopped by for a short visit. It was a good day. Several could not be there due to other commitments. Watch this column for more definite plans for March.

Happy birthday to Ellogene Scudder of McCreary’s Ridge. She will be 95 on February 21st. Her daughter Pam told me.

Eleven of the Florence Church bunch went to Kentucky Fried Chicken in Carrollton Sunday to celebrate Charles Pickett’s birthday. Happy birthday Chuck. Chuck says thanks to everyone for his cards and wishes.

We are really sorry to hear Debby Bond Hunter passed away. She lived in Florence and Vevay for a long time and moved to Carrollton a few years ago. She was a good friend and a lovely lady.

Richard and Leona Adams and Ted and Margaret Jean Baker enjoyed the fish fry at the Lutheran Church in Aurora.

Leona Adams, Faye Snyder, Sue Turner, Sue Dickerson, Colleen Lozier, Kay O’Neal, Kathy and Larry Perlich all enjoyed the Morgan-Nay dinner theater in Ohio last week. Leona said they always have a great time as they really pamper them. Many others went too but I only got these names.

It is snowing! Looks like already about two inches here in Florence at 9 a.m. Monday but we are supposed to get a lot more.
