The Tom Shelton Concert will be tonight (Thursday, December 4th) at the Florence Church of Christ at 7 p.m. Come and enjoy his good program and the refreshments to follow.
I had a good Thanksgiving. I had lunch with Loretta Westrick near Carrollton and a nice visit. I came back to Indiana and missed dinner with LeeAnn Bush and family, then missed dinner with Johnny Dale and Kim Lock, but made it in time for dinner with Denny and Mary Lou Bowman and family. It was a good day.
Glenda Sullivan spent Thanksgiving Day with Richard and Janet Sullivan in Westport. Squeaky, Jeanette and Christy Knaus, Chance and Teryn Hinman, Cindy Geis, Dana Einhaus, Ryan Einhaus, Nicole Smoker, Clayton, Tracy and Devin Seale also enjoyed the day with them, Margie Whitham wasn’t feeling well enough to go and they missed her. Hope she is better now.
A few weeks ago our Florence breakfast bunch visited with Deborah Thibodea from Verona, Kentucky. Deborah said she used to live in Florence and remembered some of the group.
Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase went to the visitation for Jon Peddie at Morgan-Nay Funeral Centre in Madison Saturday. His daughter is Brandy Graham, our American Cancer Society Relay representative. We also knew his late wife, Shirley Haskell. She went to school with us at Phillips and Mt. Hope schools. Sympathy to the family. Sympathy also to Joe and Janet Lee Cleaver and family. Their son Joseph Michael Cleaver, Jr., passed away last week at his home in Indianapolis. He was 58 years old and it was probably a massive heart attack.
Sympathy to the Melody Smith family. She was a lovely lady and will be missed.
Congratulations to Rodney Nay for the well deserved Funeral Director of the Year award. Rodney, Roger and all of their group are a great asset to our area and we are glad to have them.
I had a nice visit with Dr. George and Rita Zubaty at the Welcome Center. He was doing very well and hopes to be back to work after Christmas. We will keep him on our prayer list.
I also had a nice visit with Joe and Stephanie Gosciniak as they were relocating over the weekend.

Ryan Brown and friend Hogan arrived home Wednesday for the holidays.

The Hoosier Theater did it again – almost a full house both Friday and Saturday nights for the stage show of “Dearly Departed.” These local performers are really good. I had a good visit with my classmate Arlene Curtis Facemire.
