Florence News 12/31/2020

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and are looking forward to a New Year.

Thank you to the Vevay paper staff for the beautiful poinsettia. It is big and really brightens up my living room and sits in the window for all to see.

We had a nice visit with Sharon Coplen in Vevay. She said her and Steve will celebrate their 60th anniversary December 26th and said Steve was on an Army furlough when they were married. She also said Steve fell from a ladder August 8th and fractured his hip and recovery is going slow. Please remember him in your prayers.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth and Glenda Sullivan had Sunday dinner at Mo’s. Patty didn’t get to go due to being a little sick but she is okay now. She also missed going to church that day.

Glenda Sullivan visited Carolyn Lowe one day.

Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase had lunch at Bob Evans in Aurora one day and got to visit with Rick and Nancy Scott. They said hello to everyone. Our waitress that day was Rita Bailey. She used to live by Patty in Florence many years ago. It was really nice to see her. She said the rest of her family moved to the Indianapolis area.

Happy 95th birthday to Geneva Robinson.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth visited Randy and Michelle McClure and family at Hanover on the holidays.

Get well wishes to Donald and Lulu Belle Thomas, Alberta and Chuck Pickett.

Sympathy to the Ginny Adams family, Nell Cayton family, the Florence Haskell family and the Brenda Parham family.
