The Switzerland County Tourism staff and board members had a delightful Christmas party at Belterra last Wednesday night. The food and service and fellowship was excellent. It was a good night.
The Swiss Villa Care Center had a great standing room only Christmas party for its residents and friends and families last Thursday night. The food was very good, the music and entertainment was also very good. Santa was there, gifts were exchanged and everyone had a great time.
Nadine Swift of Miamitown, Ohio visited Patty Chase and attended the Tourism Christmas party Wednesday night. Thursday night she visited Glenda Sullivan and attended the party at Swiss Villa.
Members of the Markland/Acton Vevay chapter rendezvoused recently with Jim and Carol Strasbaugh and enjoyed the evening at Olive Garden; whereby Margaret Lee was very much there in spirit. Both respective families send their best to everyone for an enjoyable and safe holiday season.
Margaret Lee Weidmann’s company was Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown; Kay O’Neal; Jason Messmore; also Kevin Harrell stopped in with Christmas presents from him and Linda, Donna Miller brought a gift of jelly. Jeni Scudder brought delicious peanut brittle and Steve and Teresa Lyons sent a beautiful flower arrangement. Margaret Lee thanks everyone and really appreciates them.

Glenda Sullivan is still having therapy at Swiss Villa and is improving. She went back to her doctors at Louisville Friday and they both gave her pretty good reports. Her company has been: Jean Sandidge, Jeanette Knaus, Mary Evelyn Pohlman, Donnie Stout, Vicky Ware, Patty Chase, Jonnie Phillips, Jennifer Scudder, Gertrude Voris, Kelly Fitzmer, Jeni Scudder, Stella Bennett, Denny and Mary Lou Bowman, Rahe Jean Griffin, Malcolm Markland, Pam Acton, Nadine Swift, Richard and Janet Sullivan, Donna and Nathan Hughes, Carolyn Lowe, Christy Knaus, Jennifer Craig, Carolyn Morton, Mary Lou Furnish, Tracey South, Lana Kelly, and probably some I missed.
Patty Chase and Elizabeth Arlene Curtis Facemire have been having some good visits since “Arlene” – as we knew her in school – is back in Vevay. You may know her as Liz. Nice to have her back in town.
Roy and Bonnie Duckworth had a Christmas dinner Saturday evening. Marc, Tehya, Dorothy and John Duckworth; Randy, Michelle, Kiersten and Kaden McClure enjoyed the dinner and a gift exchange. After they all went to visit with Bonnie’s dad, Verle Truitt near Rising Sun and Melissa Duckworth joined them there for a lovely visit.
