Merry Christmas to all!
The Florence Church of Christ had a really good Christmas dinner Sunday. All the regular bunch was there and they brought some guests. It was a good day.
Richard and Leona Adams and Ken and Sylvia Byars enjoyed the ‘Ernie Haase Signature Sound’ at Madison last week. Richard and Leona also went to the Derby Dinner Theater Friday with the Morgan and Nay group. They went to ‘Double Wide Texas Christmas’ at the Hoosier Theater Saturday and said it was really good.
The Christmas lights are really pretty at Bobby and Lynn Gibson’s, Keith and Jean Littles and Donna and Dewayne Minks on Bethel Ridge. I haven’t seen the Minks home yet but have heard so much about it. Also Sam and Sandy Hickman’s and others.
Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase took Carolyn Lowe to Madison for x-rays. They met Beverly Davis later at Bob Evans for a nice lunch and visit. Glenda and Patty were back in Madison the next day and met Judy Lozier at Ponderosa for a nice visit.
Evelyn Mitchell Leath of Greenfield called Glenda to ask about all her friends here and to say Merry Christmas to all. Merry Christmas to you, Evelyn, from Switzerland County.
Many friends and family attended the visitation at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home for Jim Chase. We got to visit with a lot of old friends. My step brother Richard Robinson is married to Hollie, Jim and Mary Lou’s daughter so i had a nice visit with them. Sympathy to the family.
Ed Trinkle called from Virginia to ask about all of his friends here and to wish all a Merry Christmas. A Merry Christmas to you and yours, Ed, from Switzerland County.
James and Rita Brogan attended and enjoyed the Patriot Town Christmas Party.
Andrea Brogan Ogden graduated from Northern Kentucky University on Saturday. James, Rita and Ariel Brogan, Ryan Ogden, Fred and Cindy Ogden, Jack and Candace Jiles all attended the graduation. They later ate at the Texas Road House and enjoyed the day.
Jerry Jewell, Linda Jones and PJ Jones visited Bud and Betty Hargrove. Remember Bud and Betty with your get well prayers.
Margaret Lee said Merry Christmas to all. Margaret is still feeling bad and said thanks for your get well prayers and she still needs them.
The Red Hot hatters Christmas luncheon was held at Patty’s Reach on Little Hominy Ridge on Monday. The room was decorated really pretty and Sam, Steve and Christy prepared a delicious lunch. Attending were: Jan Bixler, Mary Christiani, Kay Cook, Claudia Dawson, Sandy Dawson, Barb Dowdy, Lisa Fisher, Juanita Giltner, Deanna Grisham, Patty Chase, Joyce Johnson, Mika King, Dotty Keeton, Colleen Robertson, Ana Slover, Sondra Stave, Melodee Stepleton, Deb Turner, Eileen Wiesmann, Stasia Wiseman, Lois McKay and Ann Farnsley. Two ladies did not get to attend, Carla Burt and Martha Schmitt and they were missed. Kay Cook announced the next meeting will be January 18th at Jewell’s in Warsaw, Kentucky at 11 a.m. Since the last meeting Kay has had shoulder surgery and is recovering well. Get well prayers for Kay.
b The Fairway Inn is really decorated pretty in the lobby. They are really getting a lot of compliments. The young ladies that work there did a good job.
