The Red Hot Hatters Christmas luncheon was held at the intriguing Schenck Mansion on Monday December 7th. Attending were: Sandy Dawson, Lois McKay, Stasia Wiseman, Patty Chase, Kay Cook, Laura Riga, Lisa Fisher, Helen Hounshell, Tina Smith, Eileen Wiesmann and June Lack. The delicious meal was catered by Steve and Sam of Patty’s Reach Farmstead of Hominy Ridge at Florence and we had the finest service. There was a gift exchange and a nice party time. The next meeting will be in January at the Old School Café.
Betty Hargrove visited Glenda Sullivan and took her a milkshake and three books to read. Glenda really enjoyed that and wants to thank her. The Center Square Baptist Church had a church and singing day at Swiss Villa Sunday. The residents enjoyed it.
The Stutzman family met at Clifty Inn for their Christmas get together. Fifteen of them met for dinner Wednesday evening, then 11 of them stayed overnight Wednesday and Thursday. They had a wonderful time. Richard and Leona Adams attended the Stutzman party and after had a nice visit with Johnny and Nancy Stivers while dining at Frisch’s in Madison that week. Johnny and Nancy used to be Vevay people. Hello and Merry Christmas to them.
The Galbreath children put on a really good Christmas program at the Quercus Grove Methodist Church last week.
Faye Lewis’ company was Jean Sandidge, Evelyn Smith, Carole Ann Swinney, Gertrude Voris, Dick Scott and George the dog.
Joy Dean Lee visited Glenda Sullivan Saturday after she met with classmates Hazel Curry Wilkerson, Peggy Ramsey Furnish, Nell Truesdell Cayton and Donna Driver Raisor at Harry’s Stone Grill in Madison for their get-together. Glenda was not able to attend due to a broken knee. They all had a good time. Joy Dean was on her way then to meet her sisters, Mary Hunt and Joyce Buchannan of Versailles, Carolyn Speers and Nancy Juenget of North Vernon and Barbara Ryker of Cross Plains. They were to meet at Whisky’s in Lawrenceburg and go on to Rising Star for the Lee Greenwood Show.
Evelyn Mitchell Leach called Glenda Sullivan a few times with get well wishes.
Dale and Danilee Thompson of North Vernon and Roy and Bonnie Duckworth enjoyed the Lights under Louisville Mega-Cavern Saturday evening then had supper at our favorite place, Cracker Barrel at LaGrange. Roy and Bonnie visited her mom Genevieve Truitt at Dillsboro Nursing home Sunday while Verle Truitt at Dillsboro Nursing home Sunday while Verle Truitt was visiting too.
Casey, Sheila and Tiffany Rininger visited Frank Rininger and family in Cincinnati Sunday.
Jill and Jade Smith visited Ed and Debbie Gregory Sunday evening.
Margaret Lee Weidmann and Lorraine Brown enjoyed the surprise birthday party for Earl Van Winkle at the Pines in Madison Saturday night with a lot of good friends and really good food. Happy birthday Earl.
Margaret Lee Weidmann’s company was Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown, Kay O’Neal and Donna Miller. Randy had a nice visit with Larry Ray one evening. Larry and his wife really enjoy the Vevay paper.
