The Tom Shelton concert at the Florence Church of Christ was well attended and really good. The refreshments were also really good as usual. He had a red, gray and white sweater on with a big O on it for Ohio Sate University. Someone in his family got it for him. It was pretty but we let him know he was in Indiana. “Go Buckeyes.”

Terry, Sharon and Kristin Parker, Linda Brown, Mike and Evan Brown enjoyed a family get together and Christmas dinner at Janet Brown’s Saturday.

Recent visitors of Betty and Bud Hargrove were: Linda Jones, Jerry and Robin Jewell, PJ Jones and Annie and the kids, Debby Barnes, Joe Cleaver and Herman Suber. Keep Bud in your prayers.

Barbara Purnell, Dean Richardson and Eve Purnell are in from Florida to visit with friends and family a few days.

Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase had lunch at Mi Viego at Carrollton with Lee Hauler, Pat Perkins, Carolyn Perkins, Pat Montgomery, Millie Fernald, Martha Moorman and Sue Westrick of the Carrollton Red Hat Ladies group. One of the ladies told about the really good pimento cheese spread at “Big Als” deli in Carrollton, so we got some of it and it was really good.

Patty had a nice phone call with Loretta Westrick last week. She is living in Louisville now near the boys. She is in good health but sometimes she gets confused after a stroke a few years ago.

David Wentworth, Gary and Karen Wentworth, Mark and Rhonda Scott, Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Ken and Sylvia Byars, Nancy Johnson, Judy Lozier, Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase had Sunday lunch at 88 King Buffet in Madison to celebrate David’s birthday.

Evon Gray celebrated his birthday Sunday with Reta, Leon and Alice Gray, Jeff Gray, Tracy, Tammy and Trey Gray, Bridgett, Noel and Axel Gray, granddaughter Joei Gray, Makayla, Kristina and Kayla Oeffinger and Bob and Pat Slack. They had a pretty cake and Tammy brought pizza. Happy birthday Evon for the big 80.

The Center Square Baptist Church had a message and lots of music and singing at Swiss Villa Sunday for a good attendance. Myra Jo Spoores played the piano.

Patty and Glenda had a nice visit at Frisch’s with Buster and Joy Gregory and Brenda on Friday – also with Lorraine Walston and lunch with Nadine Swift in Vevay one day.

The Christmas lights are really pretty in Florence.

Richard and Janet Sullivan of Westport visited Squeaky and Jeanette Knaus and Kayla Davis and baby Addie. Her daddy Chance Hinman was not at home at the time. Richard, Janet, Squeaky and Jeanette later went to the Rising Star for a good supper. Richard and Janet visited Glenda Sullivan the same day.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth visited Bonnie’s dad Verle Truitt on Sunday at the nursing home in Dillsboro. He is doing well.
