The Koons family met at the Old School Cafe for breakfast last Saturday. Bob and Mary Koons, Richard and Brenda Koons, Betty Hunt and daughter Tammy, Randall and Nancy Koons, Roberta Young, Renny Koons, Juanita Koons and daughter Teresa, Bernice Koons and Debby and Bernie and Mae Hunt. They had a wonderful time and said they don’t get together enough and are looking forward to the next meeting.

Faye Lewis’ company was Mark Scot, Mike and Joanna Sawalich, Alice Whitham, Evelyn Smith, Nora Gross, Jean Sandidge and Glenda Sullivan.

Cindy and Janice Geis of Westport visited Faye Lewis, Glenda Sullivan, Pete and Carolyn Lowe Saturday. Cindy, Janice and Glenda enjoyed lunch at Roxano’s. Monday Glenda took Faye to Madison for an appointment and had lunch at Frisch’s.

Leona Adams went to the dinner for Dearborn County Auxiliary Volunteers dinner at the Dearborn County Country Club and had a wonderful time. Richard and Leona went to the American Legion hog roast Saturday. Leona said there were 214 families at the new food pantry last week near Markland. It was moved from Quercus Grove to the new building for more room and parking space.

The Florence Church of Christ members cleaned their adopted two miles of State Road 156. They did another good job.

Dale Thompson is at home at 1640 W. 725 N., North Vernon. He will start on radiation treatments soon. Keep Dale and Danilee in your prayers. They are building a new home in Florence where Henry Scott lived.

Patty Chase went to Greendale and visited Bill and Barbara McCreary (Red’s sister). Then Bill and Patty went to Harrison for the visitation of Delores Robinson’s husband Junior Lloyd. Sympathy to the family. Bill and Patty went on to Miamitown, Ohio, to meet Nadine Swift at Guido’s Restaurant. She treated them to a great lunch and the waitress Jenny was really good to them. Thanks, Nadine, and Guido’s. Darrell Inman also came out and met them.

LeeAnn and Lori Lozier had some friends in Friday night for a get together.

Stanley and Dusty (the dogs) went to get groomed and were all prettied up, then went to visit grandma Margaret Lee Weidmann. Other guests were Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown, Donna Miller and Gail Ann Clements. Cheryl Messmore has been feeling pretty bad and not able to work or visit last week. Margaret Lee visited Duchie Scholl last week.

Henri Chase from South Carolina was in a few weeks ago to visit his mom, Vivian Chase, at Swiss Villa. He stayed at the Fairway Inn. Just a few weeks later he was in again for Gene Johnson’s funeral and to visit his sister Donna and other family.

Roy Duckworth is recovering well at his home at 15445 Hill Road, Florence, IN 47020. Get well to him and to Verle Truitt, Delores Tague, Evon Gray, Janet Cleaver, Helen Deen, Marshall Carter, Connie Thies and all others.

Sympathy to the Viola Chase Gregory family and the Brian Ballard family.

Jeremy, Shannon, Nathan and Lauren Jackson totally enjoyed their cruise to the Bahamas on the Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Sea. It was their first cruise and they are ready to go again. Jeremy said that’s the only way to go. There was something going on all the time and they met a lot of Hoosiers.

Don’t forget the spagheti supper at Aberdeen Saturday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Hope to see you there.
