Amanda Yocum called Patty Chase Friday evening to get James and Rita Brogan’s phone number because they had seen their cows out on Little Hominy Ridge. So Patty called Rita and caught them in Lawrenceburg just heading home. They called Bruce Thies and he rushed out to help get them in. Three Switzerland County police officers: Bob Morton, Chad Terpening and Clint Earls had arrived on the scene and were helping Bruce when James and Rita got there. Rita wants to thank all who helped and said we are lucky to live in these small communities where everyone pitches in to help. Thanks to all.
James and Rita had attended the visitation for Delcenia Courter at Rising Sun and had gone on to Lawrenceburg to get feed for their cows. She said if they knew they were going to be so much trouble they might not have got the feed, just kidding of course. Rita said thanks to Amanda and Patty and all who called.
Ryan and Andrea Ogden and Rita Brogan attended the wedding of Kane Vinson and Katelyn Wormald at the City of Spires Historical Church in Aurora, Indiana. The church was filled for the beautiful bride and groom. The reception was held at Cayton Batchelor Pavilion in Aurora. The food and cake were great. They also enjoyed Shannon Vinson’s Buckeyes candy that we all enjoyed when the Vinson’s lived on Little Hominy Ridge at Florence on the Coyote Creek Farm. We miss them and the candy.

Ray and Virginia Bear quietly celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary at their home in Madison. Congratulations! We had a good time visiting with Denny and Mary Lou Bowman at the Aberdeen Church for the pre-school chili and soup supper on Saturday evening. It was a really good especially the many desserts including Patsy’s great butterscotch pie. That’s what I go for.

Get well to Margaret Lee Weidmann. She has been feeling bad and doctoring a lot. Her company was Paul and Bryan Messmore. She doesn’t’ know if he really came to see her or the old bar in Vevay that he used to own and likes how the new owners are running it. Other company was Lynn McAlister, Kay O’Neal, Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown. Cheryl Messmore has been spending a few days with mom and Randy, Lorraine and Ryan.
