We enjoyed the hog roast at Nathan Hughes’ home Saturday evening. There was lots of good food, friends and fellowship. Donna said there were 50 or more there. It did get chilly when the wind got up but it was a good time.

Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase met Peggy Sullivan for lunch at Cracker Barrel in Scottsburg Saturday. Patty went to a Mary Kay Cosmetics business meeting while Glenda and Peggy went shopping. Their new Mary Kay director, Bonnie Crumrin came from Terre Haute to meet them.

Leona Adams attended an Internationally Yours “IY” meeting at the Cricket Ridge Country Club in Batesville. It was hosted by the Milan IY. Attendance was down this year. They came from many different states and they have come from many different counties but no one came that far this year.

Happy Birthday to Danilee Thompson of North Vernon and Lisa Rosenberger.

Jim and Lois Brooks visited Faye Lewis and Glenda Sullivan Thursday on their way to visit Jama Hayes. Jim told Glenda to tell me to keep up the good work writing the column. Thanks Jim, I try to cover everyone I can, so that people who have moved away can keep up with us. Glenda took me to Madison for a doctor appointment Wednesday and we had lunch with Audrey Marsh and Diana Brown at Frisch’s.

Evelyn Mitchell Leath of Indianapolis called Glenda to ask about everyone on the sick list and others. Glenda said she always enjoys hearing from her. Hi Evelyn, from Switzerland County.

Faye Lewis’ company was Jim and Lois Brooks, Mike and Joanna Sawalich, Cindy and Janice Geis, Marsha Patterson, Alice Faye Whitham, Jean Sandidge, Evelyn Smith and Glenda Sullivan.

We will have a Mary Kay booth at the Sleepy Hollow event Saturday. Hope to see you there and at the pie contest.

My dear friend and classmate George Jr. Ramsey passed away. He had been in and out of the hospital and Swiss Villa and staying with his daughter Kim. Sympathy to the family.

Jerry and Ruth Harlow’s daughter Cheryl passed away. I don’t know the details yet. Sympathy to the Harlow Family.

On our get well and prayer list is Gladys Hunt, Pete Furnish, Linda Mae Jones, Freda Walker recovering form surgery and Genevieve Truitt. Jerry Chase has been moved to a rehab hospital in Ohio close to his home so pray for him too.

I had a nice visit with Jimmy and Mary Simmons while at the doctor in Vevay one day. I will be doing therapy with Steve Konkle for my back. Hope he can get me back on the road again.
