Florence News 10-6-16

With the help of my good friends Nadine Swift and Glenda Sullivan, I am going to write my news.

My surgery went well on Thursday at King’s Daughters’ Hospital. I had lots of company: Denny and Mary Lou Bowman, Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Glenda Sullivan, Peggy Sullivan, Nadine Swift, Judy Lozier, Danilee Thompson, Debbie and Eddie Gregory, Mike Bear, Linda Jones, Betty Hargrove, Kathy Perkins, Lee Ann, Emily and Kelsey Bush and Megan Lengrich.

Renda Mills, Scott Stevens, and Trevor Humphrey gave me a smooth ride back home with the KDH EMS. Renda and Scott are part of our own EMS here in Switzerland County.

Dr. Auer, who did my surgery, was fantastic. His staff and his assistants were so comforting to me, and everything went so smoothly.

Prior to my surgery, I received physical therapy at the Swiss Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation. I am happy that I will be working with them again for therapy.

The Florence Church of Christ is happy to be hosting a revival for the community in November. Hope you come out and join us. Logan Fugate will be the speaker.

Please keep our neighbors in your prayers. Many are under the weather this week: Jonas Keith, Joe Johnson and Ray Bear.

Sympathy to the family of Burnie Hunt.

Ohio County EMS is hosting an EMT course and has saved several seats for residents from Switzerland County. Contact Anthony Courter at Ohio County EMS for details. The course starts in October.

While I am rehabilitating and healing, I will need your help to share the news. If you have any news or exciting events that you would like to publish, please give me a call.

Great weather this week, please get out and enjoy it!
