Here we are in 2017. Hope everyone’s New Year’s was good.

Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan spend Wednesday with Loretta Westrick near Milton, Kentucky to celebrate Christmas.

Happy birthday to Sue Price of Florence.

Denny and Mary Lou Bowman took Chris Bowman and family to the Ark to celebrate Chris’ birthday Thursday. They had a wonderful time and ate out. Happy birthday Chris.

Denny and Mary Lou also went to the visitation for his uncle Harold Washmuth at Louisville one day. He was married to Everett Bowman’s sister, Doris. She is still in Louisville. Sympathy to her and the family. Sympathy also the to Clinton Scott and Gary Lee Hambrick and Curry families. Also to the family of Dana Einhaus. She is Richard and Janet Sullivan’s daughter. Her service will be Monday at Westport.

Patty got a nice Christmas card from Joyce Hatton Romans from South Carolina with a get well wish for Patty and holiday wishes for all her friends. She enjoys the Vevay paper and her mom, Evelyn Hatton used to write the Florence news.

Bud and Betty Hargrove had a Christmas dinner for Linda Jones, PJ Jones and Annie and the kids and Jerry and Robin Jewell. Betty wants to thank everyone for the get well cards.

Margaret Lee Weidmann’s company last week was: Kay O’Neal, Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown, Cheryl Messmore, Bobby and Diana Brown and Twyla Trujillo.

Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown had Christmas dinner for the family. Mom, Bobby, and Diane Brown, Diana Brown, Cheryl, Jason, Paul, Shawn, Lisa, Garren, Taylor and A.J. Messmore, Brandon, Julie, Gracie, Maddie Lee, Vivie and Lyla Rose Messmore, Victor, Megan, Niko, Kylee Ferreira. Afternoon callers were Linda Harrell and Joyce Atwood. Hope we didn’t miss anyone.

Cheryl Messmore is spending a few days with Linda Harrell in Madison. Joyce Atwood and Becky ‘Strautman’ (I don’t know her married name) are also visiting Linda to help take care of Cheryl as she has a broken arm or shoulder. We believe Cheryl has the best “nurses” and will have fun recovering.

Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan had a nice visit with Rahe Jean Griffin. Her homemade candy is always good for Christmas and anytime.

We thank the Vevay Newspaper staff for the lovely Christmas gift.

Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan had Christmas dinner with Denny, Mary Lou Bowman and their family. Chris, Laura, Sydney, Sam and Luke, Amy and Ben, Torrie , Nick, Niem and Lybbi, Rylli and Memphis. They had a lovely time.

Later Glenda and Patty visited Nadine Swift at the Switzerland County life squad office. Nadine’s son Joey Earls of Cincinnati was also there. We all had a good visit.

Denny Bowman, Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan went to Florence, Kentucky on business and had fun shopping last Saturday.

Bonnie and Roy Duckworth visited with Bonnie’s mom at The Waters of Dillsboro. Other family members were there to celebrate Genevieve and Verle Truitt’s anniversary. Bonnie and Roy also had an anniversary December 30th. Congratulations to all.
