Happy New Year to all and we hope you had a Merry Christmas. Thank you to the Vevay Newspapers staff for their lovely gift. Also thank you to my Madison paper man for throwing the paper on my porch so I didn’t have to walk through the snow to get it. Thanks, Donnie.

Greg and Brittany Goins, Patrick Goins and Wesley Curl spent Christmas Day with Corinne Martin. Vernon could not be there because he was working on the snowy roads. Thanks to all the road men too.

Charles and Alberta Pickett, Casey, Sheila and Tiffany Rininger, Frank Rininger and Megan, Casey Michael, Lacy and Lilly Rininger and Pam Dye, Brian and Christina Rininger, Corey, Cameron, Brian, Jr., and Bradley had a lovely Christmas gathering with Marge Shiller and friend Cliff at the Candlewood Apartments in Rising Sun Saturday. Charles and Alberta Pickett visited Paul and Sherri Romans Saturday evening.

Alberta Pickett, Sheila, Tiffany, Lacy and Lilly visited Frank Rininger, Megan and her parents in Ghent, Kentucky Monday and got to visit with Santa and have pictures taken. (Santa lived just across the street.)

Casey, Sheila and Tiffany Rininger, Donita Dye and family visited Casey Michael, Lacy and Lilly Rininger and Pam Dye Christmas at East Enterprise. Lacy and Lilly visited their mother in Shelbyville over the weekend.

Robin Lawson, Audrey Marsh, Patty Chase, Evelyn Smith, Ron and Jean Sandidge, Linda Bolden, Bud and Joann Baxter, Kay Neal (from Florida), Nora Gross, Sarah Headen, David, Olivia and Mia Faye Sandidge, Mike and Joanna Sawalich, Tim, Annette, Abby, Lexie and Parker Deno, Mark Scott, Rhonda Fiefield, Mary Leo Archer and Glenda Sullivan visited Faye Lewis the last two weeks. The Vevay Amish youth group also visited Faye and sang some beautiful songs.

Margie Whitham, Christy and Jodie Knaus, Teryn and Chance Hinman, Richard and Janet Sullivan, Dana Einhaus, Ryan Einhaus and friend Nicole, Tracy, Clayton and Devin Seale, Jennifer Craig and Courtney Hall had a big Christmas with Squeaky and Jeanette Knaus.

Neal and Jill Smith and Nyla dog spent Christmas with Eddie and Debbie Gregory. Debbie is still recovering at home from her auto accident and doing pretty good. Eddie has been a big help to me with the trash pick up and the snow. Thanks.

Bonnie and Roy Duckworth, Verlene Sharp and son Ted, Roger Truitt and friend Barb Findley, Roger’s son Clayton and friend Kelsey, Amy Maddox, Michelle, Kristin and Kaden McClure, Marc, Tehya, John and Dorothy Duckworth and Melissa Duckworth had a good Christmas Eve day with Verle and Genevieve Truitt and celebrated their Verle and Genevieve’s 61st anniversary. Congratulations. Bonnie and Roy’s family then spent Christmas Eve with them in Florence.

Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase visited with Loretta Westrick and her son Dave Westrick while he was in from Texas. It was a good day. Faye Lewis went with Glenda and Patty for Faye’s appointment in Madison and had lunch at Frisch’s.

We had a nice visit with the Bond and Bolden families at the Gladys Bond visitation. Gladys was a lovely lady and a dear friend to all she knew and will be missed by all. Sympathy to the family.

  The family and friends of Errol and Jill Judy of near Vevay joined them for their Christmas Day meal. Those attending were Crista and Phil Burbrink and children Isabel and Julia, Ragina and Wesley Poling and children Ashley and Avery, Gerald Barnes, Tina Harrod, Levada Bladen and Rachel and David Schuler. Everyone enjoyed the delicious oyster soup (still a great Judy tradition) and lots of other sides, topped off with homemade cookies and candies.

Later in the evening, Errol visited with Kenny Lauderbaugh and provided him with enough food to last for several meals.

Denny and Diana Brown’s Christmas company was Audrey Marsh, Jack and Judy Bailey, Shawn and Anelisa Auxier, Shelby Auxier, Sharon and Dave Wilson, Angie Handlon and Kyle, Dustin and Susan Peters, Michelle and Paytton Lanham, Deven Sullivan, Michael, Kim, Trenton, Carson and Addison Roark, Casie Auxier and Chris Stearns, Amanda Bailey, Jaxen and Maysen Kelley. They want to thank Santa for all the homemade sage dressing, homemade pumpkin pie and all the delicious food everyone brought in.

Glenda Sullivan, Patty Chase and Faye Lewis spent Christmas Day with Ronnie Shaver, Larry and Michelle Shaver and Peggy Sullivan at Peggy’s home near Austin. They enjoyed the delicious meal.

Kay O’Neal and Margaret Lee Weidmann enjoyed supper at sunset Grill Friday evening. Margaret Lee’s Christmas company was Cheryl Messmore, Diane and Bobby Brown. Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown joined them Christmas Eve. Diane and Bobby returned home to Illinois due to bad weather. Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown, Cheryl Messmore and Mom went to Megan and Victor Ferriera’s Christmas Day. Others there were Paul Messmore, Bryan, Melanie and family, Shawn, Lisa and family, Jason, Brandon and Julie and family, all Messmores.

Randy and Lorraine Brown and Margaret Lee Weidmann visited Dutchie Scholl. Keep Dutchie in your prayers as she recovers from surgery. Kim Hambrick has an aneurysm in her head. Faye Lewis had a fall at her home. Gerri Gregory and Ruth Lohide are not well. Many are fighting a flue type illness. Keep all in your prayers.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth celebrated their anniversary last weekend.

Bina and Mukesh Patel of the Fairway Inn at Florence spent three weeks in Africa. They had a good time and brought pretty bracelets for their employees.
