Florence News 1-22-15


The Hoosier Theater board members had their holiday dinner and meeting at the lovely Ridge Winery Thursday night. It was a pitch-in dinner of wonderful food and wonderful fellowship followed. Stephanie Adams, Trent Whaley, Libby Kinman, John Kinman, Elizabeth Chandler, Del Percer Snook, Fred Stave, John Kniola, Tara Flint, Patty Chase and Jenny Abbott all enjoyed the evening. Greg Pavy joined in the party. After dinner Del brought a small birthday cupcake with a candle and sang Happy Birthday to Patty. Then Patty took the rest of the cupcakes home with her. Very nice.

There was a big birthday party Saturday night for Erin Schmitt at the American Legion. Lots of good food and people. Good music by the Doc Troy’s Band.

We had a nice visit with Julie Berry, Steve Lyons, Jon Bond and John Wetzel at the Florence Regional Sewer District meeting in Florence last week.

Randy and Lorraine Brown attended Erin Schmitt’s birthday at the American Legion Saturday and said it was a great party.

Kay O’Neal took Margaret Lee Weidmann out for lunch Sunday and enjoyed the day. Margaret Lee visited Dutchie Scholl Thursday.

Jerry and Robin Jewell and Jason Jones spent Friday with Bud and Betty Hargrove.

Congratulations to Mark Scott and Rhonda Fifield as they were married January 17th in a lovely Christian wedding in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

The Florence Church bunch and friends had a birthday lunch at Lawrenceburg Frisch’s Sunday for Patty Chase. It was great. Attending were Dale and Danilee Thompson, Ken and Sylvia Byars, Charles and Alberta Pickett, Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Casey and Sheila Rininger, Glenda Sullivan, Nadine Swift, Tiffany Rininger and Patty. Others who stopped at their table to say happy birthday were Lorraine Walton, Violet Kelly, Steve and Anna Fields, Lewis ad Gayla Bullock and all of the Frisch’s waitresses. It was a fun day. Casey and Sheila brought a balloon but it got lost in the wind on the way home.

Our prayer list includes Sharon Deck, Larry Turner, Glenda White Lutz, Myrtle Pesce, Linda Smith, Bill Wiseman, Charles Pickett, Kirk Works, Janice Walker, Linda Jewell Jones, Claude Deaton, Sharon Ballard, Larry Wentworth, Butch Scott, Debby Hunter, and Alaina Goins.

Sympathy to the families of Darlene Evans, Patty Works, Mary Evelyn Ramseyer, Bud Henry and Eddie Scott.

We had a nice visit with Mary Evelyn Ramseyer’s family. The boys and families came in from Florida.
