Good morning from the Florence area.
We are looking forward to the Wine Festival and the Vevay High School Alumni meeting and hope to see a lot of old friends there. I was in the class of 1954 and there are still a few of us in or near Vevay. I hope I can get around good enough to see a lot of old friends although I can’t walk very good but I just keep going.
Nadine Swift visited me Sunday morning and took me to the Church of Christ at Florence and had dinner at Mo’s with the church group and friends.
On Sunday those who enjoyed lunch at Mo’s were: Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Ken and Sylvia Byars, Gary, Karen and David Wentworth, Patty Chase, Nadine Swift, Judy Lozier, Nancy Johnson and Glenda Sullivan.
Glenda received phone calls from several this week whom she hadn’t talked to for a while. They were: Lois Fothergill, Evelyn Leath, Rahe Jean Griffin and Dave Shinkle. It is always good to catch up with “old friends”.
A celebration was held Saturday in the barn at Tracy and Tammy Gray’s for Axel and Jax Gray’s birthday. Those attending were grandparents Larry and Paula Washnock and great grandparents Evon and Reta Gray, Aunt April, Jeremy, Kaiden, Kinnley and Colton Konkle from Lafayette. Grandpa Jeffrey Gray, Tracy, Tammy and Trey Gray and Tanner and Cayli Gray. The boys received many nice gifts and a fun day was had by all.
Sympathy to the families of Paul Messmore, Donnie Wilson, Abby Galbreath.
Get well to Mark Scott and Ethel Althoff.
