Florence News 07/25/2019

It’s another hot day and I don’t have much news in Florence. I guess its too hot to do much.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Ken and Sylvia Byars, Gary, Karen and David Wentworth, Charles and Alberta Pickett, Judy Lozier, Nancy Johnson, Glenda Sullivan, Patty Chase and Don Smith all enjoyed Sunday dinner at the pizza place in Warsaw, Kentucky.

Roy and Bonnie spent Friday night and Saturday at the Christian Camp in Hillsboro, Ohio.

We need to keep Alberta Pickett on our prayer list as she has been having some health issues and seeing her doctor often.

I (Patty) will be having eye surgery on Wednesday (yesterday). Everyone said it will not hurt, good!

I had a nice phone call with Margaret Lee Weidmann this morning. She wanted to thank Kay O’Neal and Betty Hargrove for the delicious food. Jason and Terri Messmore visited Grandma Margaret Lee and Lorraine Brown had a delicious meal.

The Florence Flowers Home Ec group had their last meeting at Sunset Grill near Warsaw. The supper was really good. The attending were: Inez Harker, Sharon Patterson, Leona Adams, Bev Stoops, Patty Chase, Sylvia and Ken Byars and Bonnie Duckworth.

Richard and Leona Adams volunteered at the gift shop at High Point Health in Lawrenceburg last Wednesday.

John Kniola’s 1973 Ford Pinto won a prize for most original in the Patriot 4th of July parade.
