 Well it’s Monday morning and I’m writing the news and my electricity just went off. Hope not for to long.

  Not much news in Florence that I know about. I’m tired of the rain.

  Mark and Rhonda Scott from Kentucky and his son Michael and 3 boys from Vevay visited us at the Florence Church of Christ on Sunday morning. Good to see them. 

  PJ Jones and Annie and the kids and Patty Chase visited Linda Jones at Fairway Inn one evening while she was working there.

  Gary Wentworth had a serious back surgery last week at Cincinnati. Nancy Johnson (Judy Lozier’s sister) stayed with Karen at the hospital. Gary may be home on Tuesday. He did ok. Prayers for Gary. Get well wishes for Sherri Whitham, Shirley Neal, Donnie Sheets, Gary Wentworth and all in need.

  Sympathy tot he families of Alma Boldrey, Doreen Taylor, Jenny Turner and Jackie VanWinkle.

  Carolyn Lowe, Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase went to the visitation for Alma Boldrey at Milton, Kentucky on Saturday evening. We also saw Evelyn Davidson and Martha Sloan there. We worked with Alma and Gayle many years at the Vevay Shoe Factory. We also went to the visitation for Jenny Turner at Vevay on Saturday. We also worked with her at the shoe factory many years.

  Happy birthday to Mr. Smith and Karen Wentworth. 

  Company of Margaret Lee Weidmann and Randy and Lorraine Brown was Ryan Brown, Kathleen Bolton, Alan Devore, Barry Smith, Kay O’Neal, Cheryl Messmore and Bobby Brown.

  Denny and Mary Lou Bowman and many other friends and family enjoyed the graduation party for their granddaughter Sydney Bowman at Batesville on Saturday night. Best wishes to you Sydney. Her dad Chris did all the cooking and it was really good. Sydney will be going to Northern Kentucky University in the fall. 

  Judy Lozier had supper with LoriAnn at Cattleman’s in Georgetown, Kentucky Wednesday. She had support on Friday with LeAnn in Taylorsville, Kentucky.

  Bonnie and Roy Duckworth met Randy and Michelle McClure along with Kiersten, Kaden and friends Kaege and Eva for supper at El Nopal in Carrollton for an early Father’s Day supper. 

  Charles and Albert Pickett had supper with Frank Rininger family at Green Valley on Saturday.
