Looks like a nice day out as I write the news this Monday morning.
Margaret Lee Weidmann called and is feeling better. She said Bobby and Diana Brown from Illinois visited her and the family last week. Other visitors were Kay O’Neal and Betty Hargrove.
The Florence, Indiana Church of Christ visited the Warsaw, Kentucky, Gallatin County Health Care for their afternoon church service. It was really nice and we were welcomed.
Gary, Karen and David Wentworth, Alberta Pickett, Patty Chase, Glenda Sullivan, Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Ken Byars, Don Smith and Sylvia Byars had a nice birthday dinner and celebration for Sylvia’s birthday Sunday at Mo’s. We all got free bread pudding from Mo. It was nice. Mo said he would be closed this week for a vacation.
Mary Lou Bowman and her sister and other relatives went to Avon, Indiana Saturday for the memorial for Jean Ann Markland Pruitt. Sympathy to the family. Sympathy also to the Vera McSwain family.
Glenda Sullivan, Carolyn Lowe and Patty Chase attended the visitation for Vera McSwain on Sunday and got to visit with many old friends that they had not seen for a while.
Kay Cook, Patty Chase and Glenda Sullivan had lunch with the Carrollton Red Hat ladies at Cooper’s in Carrollton on Wednesday.
Glenda and Patty visited Sonny and Sue Westrick Friday in Carrollton. They always visit around Kentucky Derby time. We were disappointed with the Derby this year.
Charles Pickett and Judy Lozier have both missed church a lot for being sick. Judy is still not well but Charles was back to church on Sunday night. Get well to them. Get well also to Joe Deck.
David Wentworth went to the Special Olympics at Seymour on Saturday. He was second in the softball throw and third in the 15 meter dash. Good for David.
