Hello from Florence. Thursday April 4th was the Switzerland County Homemakers Achievement Day at Aberdeen Church. Sylvia Byars and Inez Harker were all that could make it from the Florence Flowers club, but others participated in the program on quilts. Bonnie Duckworth made the winning name tags of mini quilts for Florence. Bonnie Duckworth and Sylvia Byars showed quilts from their great grandmothers. Patty sent the door prize for Florence. Leona Adams chose the Reflections to be read and displayed some pin cushions. Inez Harker had her counted cross stitch for the cultural arts table. Lunch was really good as usual. Everyone had a great time. Sorry I had to miss it. Sylvia gave me the report.

Betty York, Donna Kittenbrink, Mary Jordan and Vickie Beatty took Teresa Turner to Frisch’s and on to Harrison for a dance for her birthday. Teresa visited her son and family for his birthday and took them pizza, ice cream and cake.

Happy birthday to them and to Sharon Deck and LeAnn Lozier, Rhonda Scott and Lori Ann Lozier.

Lisa McNeely visited Patty Chase one afternoon.

Tony Earls visited his aunt Carolyn Lowe. She said it was a really nice visit.

Dale and Danilee Thompson from North Vernon came to the Florence Church of Christ on Sunday. They also have a home here in Florence and have been unable to be here for quite a while due to Dale being sick and Danilee broke her leg just before Christmas. Both are doing well now except Dale fell and had to go to the Carrollton emergency room with a broken nose and a bump on his head. They fixed him up and they went back home to North Vernon on Sunday. Get well prayers for Dale.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth attended the revival at the Liberty Church of Christ near Madison on Friday night.

Janet and Richard Sullivan of Westport visited with Glenda Sullivan on Saturday then on to Jeanette and Squeaky Knaus’ to see Addie and Maddie Hinman and the rest of the family. Jeanette and Squeaky and Janet and Richard went on the Rising Sun to eat and enjoy a show. Saturday was the twins, Janet and Jeanette’s birthday. Hope they had a great day.

Don’t forget the fish fry at the East Enterprise Fire House on Friday April 12th from 4-7 p.m. Hope to see ya there.
