Florence News 04/04/2019

The Florence Church of Christ had a really good Sunday dinner after morning service.

Our prayer list includes: Carolyn Lowe, Jim Brogan, Ginny Turner, Sarah McCreary, Charles Pickett, Gary Wentworth and all in need.

Sympathy to the family of Tootie Leap, Vickie Bailey, Bill Peters, Virginia Jester and Mona Shoemaker.

The Florence community was well represented at the REMC meeting at Versailles Saturday in the rain. We saw lots of friends that we only see once a year. I didn’t win anything as usual but it was fun.

Charles and Alberta Pickett, Casey, Sheila and Tiffany Rininger joined the Tina Bogart family and Frank and Megan Rininger family in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee last week.

Bobby Brown visited his mom Margaret Lee Weidmann and the family a few days. Other company was Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown, Kathleen Bolton and Kay O’Neal. They are all saddened at the loss of Ryan’s dog R.B. He visited Margaret Lee about twice a day. They will miss him.

The Florence Flowers Homemakers Club entertained the Riverview Homemakers club with an event meal two weeks ago. It was a fun evening as usual.

Teresa Turner and Patty Chase visited Linda Jones at the Fairway Inn while she was working there Sunday evening.

Patty Chase, Nadine Swift and Cheryl Messmore had lunch in Vevay one day last week.

The East Enterprise Fire Department will have its Fish Fry on Friday, April 12th from 4-7 p.m. Hope to see everyone there.
