Florence News 02/04/2021

It is a pretty white Monday morning as I write the news. I’m at Switzer Square and there is a young man outside with his shovel. I love snow but not too much, this is enough. Thanks to the man with the shovel.

We were sorry to hear that Martha McKee passed away. She was here at Switzer Square just down the hall from me. I went through high school with her. She was a good friend. Sympathy to the family.

Deloris Bovard called to say that Donald Thomas is home from the hospital after being there for several weeks. Keep him in your prayers.

Linda May Jones, Betty Hargrove and the kids went to Lagrange, Kentucky for dinner last week. Linda May Jones said they have been really busy for this time of year at the Fairway Inn at Florence and at Belterra across the road.

Happy Birthday to Bonnie Duckworth, Shirley White and Lana Kelly and others I am forgetting.

Charles Pickett is still in the nursing home. Keep him in your prayers.

Mary Leo Archer visited with Patty on Sunday while Glenda was there. Glenda helps Patty a lot and Patty thanks her.

For Sunday lunch Bonnie Duckworth’s birthday was celebrated on Mo’s. Those that had a good meal were Bonnie and Roy Duckworth, Gary, Karen and David Wentworth, Nancy Johnson, Judy Lozier and Glenda Sullivan. Happy Birthday Bonnie!

Get well prayers for Debra Cober, Linda Poling, Mike Poling and Ken Byars.

Sympathy to the families of Carole Madison, Bennie Adams, Martha McKee, and Karen Britain.
