The Steve Coplen family of Patriot celebrated a triple birthday party last Saturday at their home. Steve turned 80, grandson Brandon of Alexandria, Kentucky was 34, and grandson Derek of Indianapolis was 30. All of which were born January 25th. Happy birthday!

Patty Chase celebrated her January 20th birthday on Sunday at Mo’s restaurant with Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Ken and Sylvia Byars, Charles and Alberta Pickett, Glenda Sullivan, Donald Smith, Nancy Johnson. Mo’s birthday was the 19th so he got a lot of happy birthday wishes, too. Nadine Swift, Amber Wilson, and Eric Tuemler joined them to say happy birthday.

Roy and Bonnie Duckworth, Nadine Swift, Glenda Sullivan, and Patty Chase enjoyed supper at Granny’s Saturday evening. Bonnie is doing well after gall bladder surgery and can return to work. Bonnie wants to thank everyone for their prayers, cards and concerns.

Carolyn Lowe went to the emergency room at Madison Sunday with a foot problem — maybe gout. Judy Lozier is recovering from a broken ankle. Get well prayers for Carolyn and Judy, also for Gary Shepherd, the Center Square Baptist preacher. Happy birthday to Shirley White, Bonnie Duckworth and Lana Kelly.

Hi to Kay Cook, we didn’t talk this week.

I had a nice conversation by phone with Peggy Chase Sullivan of Austin, and just talked to Margaret Lee. She said she didn’t do anything news worthy last week and is feeling good.

Dale and Danilee Thompson are still recovering. Danilee is in a nursing home in Columbus and Dale is at home near North Vernon. They have a summer home here in Florence and are here often.

Thanks to Joyce and Vernon Romans from North Carolina for your cards. Glad you enjoy the Vevay paper.

Thank you Pat for the compliments you gave to the community correspondents a couple weeks ago.
