Tomorrow’s

‘First Friday’ is
a Hippie Fest

Vevay Main Street invites everyone to wind down from the Wine Festival, and attend tomorrow’s (Friday) ‘First Friday’ event from 6-9 p.m.

September carries a ‘Hippie Fest’ theme, and everyone is urged to dig out their tie-dye and other memorabilia and join in the fun.

Amy Noel band will be playing at Opera Park. There will be Cornhole Games, and “Holy Smokin’ Pork and More” food truck will also be there. A 50-50 ticket drawing will be held at 8:45 p.m.

The “House of Brisket” food truck will be parked at the new car museum; and at the Community Art Center there will be “Make and Take” craft for the kids. The Dubuque Drum Circle will be playing in the Courtyard.

There will be ice cream vouchers given out on Liberty Street, which will be closed for children’s games sponsored by YMCA. Ice cream vouchers will be given to the first 30 children who come through. Do not miss stopping at the tourism office to see what surprises they may be offering.

Free Horse and Carriage rides will be available in front of the Courthouse, weather permitting.

Vevay Main Street monthly meetings have been changed to the second Tuesday of each month, at 6 p.m. They will be held at the Switzerland County Public Library. Visitors are welcome to attend.

If you have any questions, or suggestions for Main Street, please call Melinda Green at (765) 730-8287.  Our office on Main Street is closed, and we are relocating.
