Fall sports start at high school August 1st

Switzerland County High School is about to gear up for another exciting fall sports season.

High school athletic director David Todd reminds all athletes who want to participate in fall sports that practices officially begin on Monday, August 1st, and all athletes must have a current physical by that date.

Here’s a rundown of some of the fall sports:

– Varsity volleyball coach Steven Konkle has announced the upcoming schedule for this year’s volleyball team at Switzerland County High School.

Open gym volleyball is taking place from 6-8 p.m. tonight (Thursday).

Next week, July 25th-29th, is conditioning week; and those gatherings will be held each night from 6-8 p.m.

Practice will then start on Monday, August 1st, from 5-7 p.m.

– Varsity boys and girls cross country coach Mark Boggs has announced that practice will begin on Monday, August 1st, from 8-10 a.m. behind the high school.

– Varsity girls soccer coach Roy Leap has announced that his Lady Pacer squad will begin practices on Monday, August 1st, from 6-7:30 p.m. The practices will be held at the soccer field behind the high school.
