Switzerland County High School held its athletic banquet for fall sports on Tueday, October 24th. The event was held in the high school cafeteria.
Coaches from the various teams told the audience about their just-completed seasons; and also handed out end of the season awards as well as academic awards.
Those athletes honored included:
– GIRLS SOCCER: Allie Bruce: Defensive Award; Kinsley Griffith: Mental Toughness Award; Calleigh Powell: Offensive Award; Kayla Scranton: Most Improved; Elizabeth Sigmon: Pacer Award; and Kimberley Cutter: Senior Scholastic Award.
– BOYS SOCCER: Keegan Morris: Leadership Award; Bailey Bennett: Senior Scholastic Award; and Kyle Whitham: Senior Scholastic Award.
– GIRLS GOLF: Jody Breeck: Most Improved: Riley King: Most Valuable Golfer; Jody Breeck: Senior Scholastic Award; and Riley King: Senior Scholastic Award.
– GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Leah Anders: Most Valuable Runner; Allison Detmer: Most Improved; Keirstan Oeffinger: Freshman of the Year; Brianna Vinup: Newcomer of the Year; and Brianna Vinup: Senior Scholastic Award.
– BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: Garrett Demaree: Most Valuable Runner; Coby Manbeck: Newcomer; and Bailey Bennett: Senior Scholastic Award.
– VOLLEYBALL: Ally Furnish: Most Improved; Kalli Morton: Serving Award; Kinley Morton: Most Valuable Player; Emerson Schroer: Mental Attitude Award; Maggie Henry: Jayvee Most Valuable Player; Julianna Prince: Jayvee Most Improved; Kalli Morton: Senior Scholastic Award; Kinley Morton: Senior Scholastic Award; and Emerson Schroer: Senior Scholastic Award.
