The eighth grade boys basketball team from Switzerland County Middle School captured the championship of the Switzerland County Invitational Tournament on Saturday, November 10th.
In the opening game, the Pacers defeated Southwestern by a score of 55-51.
Keegan Kincaid had an outstanding game for Switzerland County, scoring 21 points in the contest, including four three-pointers. Nathan Smith was also in double figures, finishing with 18 points; and Brady Scudder made it a trio of double figure scorers, ending up with 10.
Calen Otter had four points in the game; and Josh Yeary chipped in two.
In the championship game, the Pacer offense continued to hit on all cylinders, defeating Rising Sun 52-40.
Keegan Kincaid again led the Pacers, scoring 20 points; and Nathan Smith had 12.
Anthony Dasis finished with five points; Calen Otter and Brady Scudder each had four; and Josh Yeary, Anthony Dennis, and Quinn Meyer each had two. Brandon Huitt contributed one point in the win.

Last Thursday night, the Pacers dropped a tough, 42-34 decision to Madison.
Nathan Smith was the leading scorer for the Pacers, finishing with 14 points; while Brady Scudder added eight.
Calen Otter had five points; Keegan Kincaid had four; and Anthony Dennis finished with three.
On Monday night the Pacers got back in the win column with a 57-29 drubbing of South Ripley.
Keegan Kincaid led the team with 16 points; while Calen Otter had nine points and Anthony Dasis finished with eight. Brady Scudder and Nathan Smith had six points each; and Josh Yeary and Quinn Meyer each chipped in five. Walter Barnes contributed two points in the victory.
