The Paul Ogle Riverfront Park in Vevay will be the location of the community’s annual ‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ on Saturday, March 30th.
Festivities begin at 10 a.m. with a mini parade and the Tri-Kappa sorority’s annual Cake Walk. At 10:30 a.m. young people can meet the Easter Bunny, Sparky the Fire Dog, Andy the Ambulance and McGruff the Crime Dog.
Easter egg hunts will begin at noon, with participants asked to provide their own Easter basket. Searches will be divided in three age groups: 2-4 years; 5-7 years, and 8-10 year olds.
Contests will take place throughout the event including: the Best Decorated Bike; Best Decorated Wagon; Best Decorated Golf Cart; Best Bicentennial Spirit Bonnet; and Most Extravagant Easter Bonnet.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the Switzerland County YMCA.
The Eggstravaganza is sponsored by Switzerland County Tourism, Jeff-Craig Fire and Rescue, Switzerland County EMS, the Key Club and Tri-Kappa.
The event is free and open to the public.
