Special Easter event at Riverview Baptist Church

Riverview Baptist Church would like to invite the community to attend an upcoming special event.

The church will present a Living Portrayal of the Lord’s Supper tonight (Thursday, April 13th). The event will begin at 7 p.m.; and everyone is invited to attend.

Riverview Baptist Church is located at 1341 Spring Branch Road, just west of Vevay off of State Road 56.

Olive Branch Easter services set

Olive Branch Baptist Church has announced its upcoming Easter Services.

The church will hold a Sunrise Service on Easter morning, April 16th, beginning at 7:30 a.m. That will be followed by a breakfast prepared by the church youth group.

The Easter morning worship service will begin at 10 a.m.

All of the services will be held in the church’s new Family Life Center, which is located just behind the current sanctuary. Everyone is invited to attend.

Olive Branch Baptist Church is located on Bear Branch Road, approximately two miles north of the Fairview Store just off of State Road 250.

Concord Church to host special dedication

Reverend Stephen Ward and the congregation of the Concord Community Church are inviting all to their special Dedication Service for seven different stained glass creations by Jerry Belew.

The service will be held on Sunday, April 30th, and will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Belew is from Rising Sun, and is a member of the church. He has designed and installed the seven arched stained glass windows.

Traditionally the fifth Sunday Service at the Concord Church – which will include April 30th – is celebrated with a pitch in dinner after worship, so everyone is invited to bring their favorite covered dish and join in the festivities.

The Concord Community Church is located at 196 Concord Road in Patriot. Just four miles downriver from Patriot off of Highway 156 and Sandy Run.

Easter Services set for Catholic Church

Most Sorrowful Mother of God Catholic Church has announced its upcoming Easter services.

The church will hold Sunday morning services on Easter, April 16th, at 10 a.m.

There will also be services tomorrow (Friday, April 14th) at 1 p.m. for Good Friday of the Passion on the Lord.

There will not be any services in Vevay this Saturday, April 15th.

“Divine Mercy Sunday” will be celebrated at the church on Saturday, April 22nd. Confessions will be heard before Mass and the Divine​ Mercy Chaplet will be recited after Mass. In April, 2000, Pope John Paul II announced that the Second Sunday of Easter would be celebrated as Divine Mercy Sunday throughout the universal Church.

Every Wednesday at 10:15 a.m., all are invited to pray the “Patriotic Rosary” in the foyer of the church.
