The annual “Easter Eggstravaganza” in Vevay is set for Saturday, April 15th. The event will be held on the Switzerland County Courthouse lawn, and the festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with a puppet show by the Frisch Marionettes at the Historic Hoosier Theater. The cost of the show is $5 per person.
The Switzerland County Visitors Center will be hosting the “Adopt a Bunny” promotion again this year by giving out free stuffed Easter Bunnies, compliments of Belterra Casino Resort and Spa, starting at 11 a.m.
Take a tour of the newly renovated courtroom in the Switzerland County Courthouse; have lunch and your picture taken with the Easter Bunny at the Vevay United Methodist Church; and enter the cake walk and bring home that special Easter dessert.
The traditional Easter Egg Hunt begins at noon, and is for children ages 1-10.
Sack races and an egg toss competition begins at 12:30 p.m., with prizes for all winners.
To finish out the fun filled day, enter the Kiwanis “Kite Flying Contest” at 2 p.m. at the Paul Ogle Riverfront Park.
