Vevay Police Chief James Richards has announced the sentencing of a Vevay man prosecuted for drug-related offenses.

On April 25th, 2018, the Vevay Police Department, assisted by the Indiana State Police, served a search warrant in the 20 block of Swiss Avenue in Vevay, dealing with methamphetamine.

As a result of that search warrant, Bruce Thomas, of Vevay was arrested and charged with dealing methamphetamines and being a habitual offender.

On Monday, October 22nd, Thomas was sentenced in Switzerland County Circuit Court to six years for dealing methamphetamines and four years for being a habitual offender.

“We are asking anyone who has information about drug activity in this area, or information on any other crimes, to contact the Vevay Police Department at (812) 427-3737,” Chief Richards said.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
