The Community Foundation of Switzerland County, Inc., has announced a matching gift initiative called the ‘Double Your Dollars Challenge’.
The Challenge matches all gifts to permanent funds (often called endowments) held in the Community Foundation. For every dollar contributed to a permanent fund, the Foundation will match it with another dollar.
The Community Foundation has set aside $75,000 to match gifts to permanent funds. This money is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be available until December 31st, 2016, or until the $75,000 is expended. There is no minimum amount that needs to be contributed to be eligible for matching funds.
To participate in the ‘Double Your Dollars Challenge’, you may contribute to one of over 100 existing permanent funds in the Foundation, or you may want to establish a new fund of your own to accomplish your philanthropic goals.
If you have been thinking about leaving a lasting legacy to benefit Switzerland County, now might be the perfect time to do so because the match will provide you with an excellent opportunity to stretch your charitable dollars and give back to your community at the same time.
