DCH holds annual holiday drive

Dearborn County Hospital’s annual holiday drive to benefit the Coalition for Children’s Christmas Toys (CCCT) brought in $1,335 in cash and two large overflowing barrels of toys.

Cash and toy donations to the drive were made by Dearborn County Hospital and Dearborn County Hospital Physician Partners employees, DCH Medical Staff members, area physicians’ office staff and DCH Auxilians. Nancy Kennedy, M.D., DCH Chief of Staff, presented the toys and monetary donation to Dee Hacker, CCCT Coordinator, and Michelle Bunte, Dearborn County Clearinghouse Store Manager. The CCCT, which is a cooperative effort of many churches, organizations, schools and individuals, is coordinated by the Clearinghouse and staffed by its volunteers.

Monetary donations included a check for $500 from the DCH Medical Staff along with additional cash donations totaling $1,335. This year’s DCH drive total was up from last year’s donation of $1,025.

Each year, qualified families in Dearborn and Ohio Counties prepare toy lists for their children. In addition to the DCH drive, toy donations come from individuals, businesses, schools and the Toys for Tots program.
