The boys and girls cross country teams from Switzerland County Middle School recently participated in the Jac-Cen-Del Invitational.
In the girls meet, the Lady Pacers were fourth with a team score of 91. Jennings County won the meet with a score of 61; followed by Jac-Cen-Del with 69; and Madison with 73. After the Lady Pacers, North Decatur had a score of 124; South Ripley had 133; Rising Sun had 143; Milan with 213; and both Madison Shawe and Southwestern did not have enough runners to record a team score.
Individually: Leah Anders was seventh overall; Maggie Clayton was 11th; Kiersten Oeffinger was 21st; Aleiah Thomas was 23rd; Alisha Detmer was 35th; McKenli Scudder was 37th; and Zoe Cole was 39th.
In the boys race. Jennings County won the meet with a score of 47; followed by Jac-Cen-Del with 58 and Switzerland County with 66. Southwestern had a score of 80; Milan had 168; Rising Sun had 173; Madison Shawe had 197; South Ripley had 210; North Decatur had 212; and Madison did not have enough runners to record a team score.
Leon Kinne led the Pacers with a third place finish overall; followed by Doug Pedraza in fourth; Damian Breeck in ninth; and Garrett Demaree in 21st. Ben Hicks was 30th; Zach Perkins was 58th; and Evan Ramseyer was 59th.
