  The Switzerland County Pacer boys and girls opened their seasons on Saturday by participating in the Small School Invite held in Shelbyville.

  Coach Meganmarie Dennis said that the girls finished sixth overall out of 18 teams, with many Lady Pacer runners making their high school debuts.

  Switzerland County wa led by freshman Amber Detmer, who finished in 12th place overall with a time of 22:47.

  Other Switzerland County runners included: Gracie White 27th place overall in a time of 23:53; Carlee Boggs 38th place overall in a time of 24:34; Alisha Detmer 57th place overall in a time of 25:24; Avy Burkholder 75th place overall in a time of 26:29; Ashlyn Covington 96th place overall in a time of 27:57; Bri Stow 156th place overall in a time of 34:53; Terra Oeffinger 166th place overall in a time of 41:04; and Jessica Hollin 167 place overall in a time of 41:14.

  The Pacer boys team did not have enough runners at the event to record a team score, but were led by junior Nathan Furnish in 25th place overall in a time of 18:49.

  Other Pacers included: Cooper Hon 100th place overall in a time of 21:34; Derek Hoskins 142nd place overall in a time of 22:48; and Dylan Sullivan 177th place overall in a time of 24:07.
